Yarn, Greige, Shirting & Uniform Fabric Sourcing

Source polyester and blended yarns, carded, combed and stretch greige, shirting, uniform twills, healthcare-uniform textiles, pocketing and Arabian trouser fabrics. Compare item-specific constructions, samples, finishing, inspection and roll packing.

  • Coordinate yarn, unfinished cloth and finished fabric as distinct order stages.
  • Compare exact constructions across shirting, uniform and pocketing uses.
  • Agree blend, finish, testing and packing before bulk approval.

Manufacturing, product documents and order conditions depend on the model and supply route selected for your project.

Build the range
your buyers need.

Choose a focused product or discuss a coordinated assortment. Each direction can be developed into a more specific model and packaging brief.

Knitting yarns

Discuss polyester and combed polyester/cotton yarns separately from woven fabrics. Include yarn count system, blend ratio, twist, ply, package dimensions and the knitting process. Approval should cover the yarn in the intended fabric rather than a count label alone.

Enquire about this range ↗

Weaving yarns

Compare vortex-spun polyester and combed ring-spun blended directions for the intended warp or weft. State loom, sizing needs, count and strength requirements; no knitting-yarn approval is automatically extended to weaving.

Enquire about this range ↗

Carded greige fabrics

Source unfinished polyester/cotton cloth for further bleaching, dyeing or finishing. Specify construction, usable width and acceptable defects, then allow for the changes expected during processing.

Enquire about this range ↗

Combed TC and CVC greige

Develop combed polyester/cotton and cotton-rich blends with the required structure and hand. Specify each construction independently. Named cotton-origin alternatives require appropriate traceability if origin is part of the order.

Enquire about this range ↗

Stretch greige

Discuss spandex-containing TC and CVC alternatives with the finishing route already in mind. Confirm stretch direction, recovery and dimensional change after the planned treatment; a greige width is not a finished cutting width.

Enquire about this range ↗

Shirting and poplin

Compare light blended, cotton-rich, high-density and stretch directions for business or casual shirts. Agree the required opacity, crease appearance, hand and care performance against a sample.

Enquire about this range ↗

Workwear and uniform twills

Compare cotton, cotton/polyester, polyester/cotton and plied constructions for the garment. Define the intended wear, colour, laundering and seam requirements before choosing a weight.

Enquire about this range ↗

Healthcare-uniform textiles

Source cloth for scrubs and other staff uniforms with the intended laundering process specified. These are textile selection directions; a healthcare category does not establish sterile, surgical-barrier or infection-prevention performance.

Enquire about this range ↗

Conductive-fibre workwear development

A polyester/cotton cloth with conductive fibre is a separate enquiry. State the electrical performance standard and conditioning procedure and request matching evidence before using it in a protective garment.

Enquire about this range ↗

Pocketing and herringbone accessories

Match pocketing structure, shade, seam behaviour and weight to the outer garment. Where a source field is unclear, obtain a corrected technical sheet instead of inferring the intended specification.

Enquire about this range ↗

Arabian trouser fabrics

Compare combed and other polyester/cotton cloth references with the required width, opacity, whiteness, drape and care method. Identify the garment style and cutting plan so the quoted width meets the actual need.

Enquire about this range ↗

Lyocell and other blend development

Consider lyocell-containing twills and related development requests as distinct compositions. Approve fibre percentages, shade, surface and handle; a soft feel alone does not identify the fibre or its origin.

Enquire about this range ↗

Additional traded fabrics

Separate traded polyester/rayon, bamboo-described fibre and other uniform-cloth references from core manufacturing claims. Confirm the material origin, exact composition and quality evidence for each selected article.

Enquire about this range ↗

Bleached, dyed and printed cloth

The broader fabric brief can include preparation, colour and printing as well as greige supply. Define the finish and design before pricing. Availability of a base cloth does not establish an approved colour or print run.

What matters for this category

A better brief.
A clearer comparison.

Focus the sourcing conversation on the features, materials and production details that make a difference to your product range.

01

Choose the right supply stage

Specify whether you need yarn, unfinished cloth or ready-to-cut finished material. This makes it possible to compare quotations on the same basis and identify which preparation, dyeing or finishing operations are included.

02

Compare materials for the garment

Use the actual garment and laundering brief to judge a shirting, twill, pocketing or stretch construction. Weight and blend are starting points; hand, opacity, seam performance and dimensional behaviour complete the comparison.

03

Keep the order traceable

Connect the agreed construction, colour and finish to sample approval, batch identification and inspection records. Treat additional traded fabrics as their own specification and approval file.

Branding, configuration & packaging

Make the product
fit your programme.

Bring artwork, reference samples and a target cost. The available process, minimum quantity, sample charges and development scope are reviewed for the chosen option.

01

Yarn and weave development

Request feasibility for count, blend, ply, structure and finishing changes. Define each proposed variation and its application; sampling, development charges and production minimums are confirmed for that variation.

02

Colour and finishing approval

Provide a colour standard, shade tolerance and intended care process. Agree lab dips, trial material and any functional finish tests before bulk release. A named catalogue function is not a validated performance result.

03

Packing and shipping coordination

For yarn, define cone or package format and protective packing. For cloth, specify usable width, roll length, core, wrapping, labels and shade-lot separation. Agree any private-label artwork and delivery schedule in the quotation.

Quality & product evidence

Turn requirements
into checks.

Agree which product characteristics need testing and how the approved sample relates to the bulk order.

01

Yarn and fabric construction

Confirm the count system, fibre percentages and structure. Agree checks for weight, usable width, density, defects and lot consistency. A broad TC or CVC description does not establish an exact blend ratio.

02

Garment and care trials

Evaluate shrinkage, skew, shade, seam appearance and stretch recovery where relevant after the intended treatment. Uniform and workwear projects should include the actual washing and finishing conditions.

03

Application-specific evidence

Define chemical requirements, electrical properties or any other performance criteria for the selected material. Healthcare-uniform cloth is not automatically a medical barrier, and a conductive fibre does not by itself establish protective compliance.

Test capability is a starting point for the inspection plan. Request the method, applicable model and results needed for your order.

Documents matched to the order

Ask for evidence
that fits the product.

Request records that identify the selected yarn or fabric and the manufacturing and finishing scope included in the order.

State the sales market, intended users and required files in your first enquiry. Current validity and scope are checked for the selected supplier and product; a category description does not certify every item.

Share your document requirements ↗
Technical and sample approval
Keep composition, count notation, construction, width, weight, finish and tolerances together with the approved sample. Resolve contradictory fields before issuing the purchase order.
Testing and traceability
Request current reports with article identification, method and measured result. Recycled content, preferred-cotton sourcing or cotton origin requires applicable chain-of-custody evidence; no scheme is assumed for the full range.
Commercial and shipment file
Confirm sample charges, minimum quantity, lead time, packing, inspection, origin and required shipping documents for the specific order. Historical exhibition minimums or terms do not become current commitments.
Built around how you sell

Different buyers.
Different specifications.

Your sales channel changes the assortment, packaging and quality priorities. Tell us the intended use as well as the product name.

01

Shirt and fashion collections

Compare combed blends, poplin, stretch and lyocell-containing cloth with the intended silhouette. Include opacity, hand, crease appearance, colour and care in approval.

02

Workwear and uniform programmes

Coordinate the main cloth, pocketing and any stretch or conductive-fibre option. State laundering, colour continuity, garment construction and any required performance evidence.

03

Textile converters and fabric buyers

Order yarn or greige to a clearly defined downstream process, or request bleached, dyed and printed cloth on a finished basis. Confirm which party performs and approves each stage.

From first brief to a defined order

One contact.
A practical next step.

Samples, commercial terms and responsibilities are agreed for the project. Use the same product and packing specification when comparing quotations.

01

Share the requirement

Product, reference image, quantity, sales market and timing.

02

Compare suitable options

Review configuration, materials, sample scope and relevant documents.

03

Approve the specification

Agree artwork, packaging, sample, testing and inspection criteria.

04

Confirm the order plan

Set price, payment, production, delivery and defect remedies in writing.

Buyer questions

Before you send
your first enquiry.

Practical answers about this sourcing direction, customization and the reference options. Your agreed specification and written quotation determine the actual order.

Can I buy yarn, greige and finished fabric through one enquiry?

Yes. List each supply stage separately with its specification, quantity and approval requirements. A yarn price, greige price and dyed-fabric price include different work and should not be compared as equivalent products.

What is the difference between TC and CVC in a quotation?

These describe polyester/cotton and cotton-rich blend directions. Request the exact fibre percentages for the selected article; do not infer a fixed ratio solely from the abbreviation.

Are the widths shown finished cutting widths?

They are the widths stated for individual published references. Confirm usable width and tolerance for the current order, and distinguish unfinished greige width from the width after dyeing and finishing.

Can I order stretch fabric for uniforms?

Submit stretch direction, recovery, composition and care requirements. Some catalogue titles mention stretch without a complete elastane specification, so the current material sheet and trial must resolve that before approval.

Is healthcare-uniform fabric suitable for surgical protection?

The catalogue directions concern fabrics for staff clothing. A sterile use or barrier-performance claim requires a separately specified material, appropriate testing and applicable documents; it is not established by the category name.

Does the conductive-fibre fabric have an approved safety rating?

No rating is assumed. State the relevant electrical test, conditioning, care procedure and acceptance value and request matching evidence for the selected material.

Can you arrange a custom blend, yarn or weave?

Provide the target construction and application or a reference sample. Feasibility, trial quantities, development charges and bulk minimums are confirmed for that request.

What should I send for a colour match?

Send a physical or otherwise agreed colour standard, substrate, finish and intended care process. Define how shade is assessed and approve lab dips or trial material before bulk release.

Are all fabrics recycled, preferred-cotton or certified?

No range-wide certification is assumed. Identify the claim needed, then verify the current product scope and relevant traceability or transaction documents for the confirmed order.

How is bamboo-described fibre labelled?

Confirm the actual fibre identity and processing route on the material sheet. Use the correct destination-market composition description and avoid assuming natural antibacterial behaviour from a bamboo-related label.

What are the minimum quantity and lead time?

They depend on count, composition, construction, colour, finishing and packing. Request current terms for the exact order; older catalogue and exhibition figures are not treated as standing terms.

Can samples be supplied before bulk production?

Request a swatch, yarn sample or trial length and specify what it must demonstrate. Availability, sample charges and freight are agreed separately; retain the approved reference for production comparison.

Can fabric be packed with our roll labels?

Send the label text, artwork, roll or package format and any scanning requirements. Confirm feasibility and cost in the quotation, with lot identification and composition aligned to the actual article.

How should a repeat order be controlled?

Refer to the approved article, construction, shade, finish and tolerances, then retain lot and inspection records. Confirm any permitted material or process change before release.

Who handles my enquiry?

Factory Sourcing Hub handles this enquiry as an independent sourcing and trading service. The product route, supplier suitability, sample scope and order responsibilities are agreed for the actual project.

How do I get a price and order minimum?

Send the product reference, quantities per variation, customization and packaging. Prices, minimums, sample charges and delivery dates are confirmed in a current quotation; the page is not a live inventory or price feed.

Can I discuss samples and inspection before ordering?

Yes. State whether you need a reference sample, a customized sample or development work. Agree the sample cost and shipping, approval specification, inspection plan and remedy for non-conforming goods before the bulk order.

What should I attach to my email?

Reference images, drawings, logo artwork and a product list are useful. Include quantities, the intended users and sales market, packaging, required documents and timing. After submitting the form, email attachments to kunhuow@gmail.com with your enquiry reference.
